Respons Publik terhadap Wacana Penerapan Fullday School bagi Keberlangsungan Madrasah Diniyah di Kota Pekalongan

The discourse on the implementation of full-day schooling in Indonesia has sparked various pros and cons, including in the city of Pekalongan. The purpose of this study is to describe public responses to the implementation of the full-day schooling system and its relevance to the sustainability of madrasah diniyah (Islamic elementary schools) in the city of Pekalongan. This qualitative study uses documentation techniques as a means of data collection. Data analysis techniques involve reduction, presentation, and verification stages. Primary data is obtained from various media and newspapers discussing the full-day school discourse. Meanwhile, secondary data is obtained from data correlative to this topic. The results of this study conclude that the implementation of the full-day school policy may cause concern for madrasahs in Pekalongan City due to the lack of community potential resulting from the longer shift in time. This study emphasizes the importance of considering social and cultural religiosity in government policies related to innovations in national education activities.
